    Another Fantastic Harvest!

    by  • October 24, 2014 • Silklife Foodbank

HarvestWow, yet again we’ve been amazed by people’s generosity this harvest!  We have been given food by many of the town’s churches and schools including: Ash Grove school, Whirley Pre-School, Whirley Primary School, St John’s Primary School, Park Royal School, Chelford Brownies, St John’s Chelford, Sutton St James Church, Hollinhey Primary School, St Peter’s Withington, Holy Trinity Hurdsfield, All Saints Church, Broken Cross Methodist, Kings Infants and Juniors and Ivy Bank Primary School.  We have also received donations at the Silklife Centre and not been sure where they’ve come from, so if we’ve missed you off the list we’re very sorry!  We now have a fantastic supply of food for the upcoming months so if you’d like to donate food in the near future these are the only foods we’re short of at the moment – tins of ravioli, instant mash, tins of macaroni cheese, tins of chicken in white sauce, tins of chicken and mushroom casserole, tins of beef casserole, tins of Irish stew, and SMALL tins of new potatoes.  Being so specific helps us to make the our food parcels as balanced and nutritious as possible so thank you in advance!
