From 28th April to 2nd May, people are living on £1 a day for 5 days to change the way people in the UK think about extreme poverty
Our lovely friend Sarah has accepted the challenge and is ‘living below the line’ to raise food donations for the Foodbank and awareness of food poverty here.

When people are referred to us they are already going through a very difficult time and so we want to preserve their dignity and show them kindness. One of the ways we do that is to use a new bag for life, from the main supermarkets, for each food parcel. We buy the bags ourselves and as you can imagine we go through a lot!
If there are any companies/businesses or anyone who would like to help and support us in this way you can contact us through Facebook or the contact page on the website. Thanks so much!
The Foodbank will be closed for Easter from Tuesday 15th to Tuesday 22nd April. For any agencies who are open between those dates and who require food parcels please let us know before Thursday 10th April how many bags you require and we will arrange them to be available for collection from the Silklife Centre before we close for the holiday. Many thanks!
We feel enormously privileged to have spent the day with a team from ITV News. We have had the opportunity to show how important the work we do is, what a difference it is making to people in real crisis and God’s heart for the people of Macclesfield. Some very brave people speak about the difference it has made to them and their families. It will be shown on the ITV News tomorrow at 1.30pm and 6.30pm.
