We would like to thank All Saints Church for their amazing donation of £500 worth of Christmas food for our treat boxes! We are so grateful for this extremely generous gift which has enabled us to make 50 boxes for families referred by local Children’s Centres and Barnardos. Philip and Margaret Marsh from All Saints dropped off the food this morning and our team of volunteers (including our fantastic youth group!) packed the boxes this evening. It was so fantastic to see all the boxes made up, and more importantly to know the people who receive them will know that people care enough to help them.
We know how hard everyday life is for the people we help, but Christmas can be especially difficult. We support many people who won’t be able to afford any of the special food that we enjoy at this time of year. We would like to help by providing special Christmas boxes, containing a selection of festive treats. We need selection boxes, mince pies, Christmas puddings/cakes, boxes of biscuits/chocolates, savoury snacks (crackers, crisps, nuts etc.), Christmas crackers and soft drinks. You can donate through our permanent donation box in Sainsbury’s. Please note we are unable to accept food/drinks containing alcohol. Thank you so much for your support, your kindness will make a real difference this Christmas.
We would like to say a really big thank you to all our volunteers, Sainsbury’s and the wonderful people of Macclesfield who donated an amazing £633 worth of food today at our collection! We are so grateful to people from Silklife Church, All Saints and Tytherington Family Worship for giving up their time and coming down to help. All the food donated will go to people who are struggling in Macclesfield and is much needed over the busy Christmas period. Thank you so much!
